Team USA led by Alfonso Camerlingo defeats Team Texas in the final match to win the first Belknap Cup
The Belknap Cup is a Belknap Men's tour event scheduled to take place October 2nd 2021.
Each team is comprised of six to eight players and led by a team captain, who is a legend of the sport.
The event is played in one day. Three doubles matches are played on Saturday morning and three are played on Saturday afternoon.
Each match is an 8 game pro set with no ad scoring. a 7 point tiebreak is played at 7 all.
Each player on a team must play once before any other player can play twice. Each player must play twice before any player can play a third time unless it is the decider match.
No doubles team combination can play more than once unless it is the decider match
In the event of a tie, a final decider pro set is played with the same rules.
Points scoring
The first two matches on Saturday are worth 1 point. The next two matches are worth 2 points. The final two matches are worth 3 points.
How to Win the Belknap Cup
The first team to reach 7 points out of a total of 12 points available wins the Belknap Cup. If the points are tied, a decider match is played to determine the winner.
